Il 1970 è l'anno della definitiva consacrazione del genere progressive. I King Crimson con altri 2 stupendi album , i "Genesis con Trespass " il brano The Knife da l'idea di tutta la potenzialità futura del gruppo", I Gentle Giant con la loro prima uscita discografica, i Van Der Graaf Generator con altri due bellissimi album con Peter Hammil a dare sfogo a tutta la sua vocalità, e poi Caravan, Pink Floyd, ELP, Jethro Tull e tanti altri. Una Menzione particolare va ai Rare Bird con il loro "As Your Mind Flies By" del quale potete ascoltare la bella suite in 4 parti "Flyght", 19:39 minuti di vero Progressive.
